Saturday February 28, 8pm: LGBTQJew and YAJA present a Purim Party and Drag Show. LGBTQJew and YAJA will be partnering together to put on an awesome Purim Party! This will include a Drag Show, drinks, and great food! To get involved in the planning contact Rachel at rachel@jcc-asheville.org.
Sunday March 1, 10am: JCC Purim Carnival Israel Style. Carnival games, inflatables, hamentaschen contest, costume parades & contests Oh My! Spin art, concessions, Passover wine tasting, Shop in Asheville’s version of the Israeli Shuk and make a mischloach manot gift!
Tuesday March 3, 9am: JCC: Purim Project – Preparing MANNA packs for kids. Did you know that 1 in 4 children in our area don’t have access to three square meals a day? Join us to help fulfill one of the mitzvot of Purim – gifts to the poor – as JCC volunteers gather to assemble MANNA Food Packs.
Wednesday March 4, 6pm: Congregation Bet HaTephila Purim Service and Megillah Reading. Come join us for Purim festivities! Come in costume and get a prize! There will be a Purim shpiel and we will read the Megillah. Hamentaschen afterwards.
Wednesday March 4, 6:10pm: Congregation Beth Israel Purim Celebration and Megillah Reading. Join us for Minhah service at 6:10pm followed by Ma’ariv at 6:30pm and a children’s performance and costume contest at 6:45pm. The Megillah reading will start at 7:00pm and will be followed by the Purim party at 8:30pm.
Thursday March 5, 5:30pm: Chabad Presents, Je Suis Purim, Purim in Paris. Experience Purim French Style. Enjoy a gourmet French buffet dinner, take a picture at the Eiffel Tower, enjoy entertainment by French miming performer, and much more!
